Welcome, Welcome! Happy Hunger Games! last night I had a chance to watch the advance movie premiere of the much awaited movie of this year at Gateway Cineplex Cinema 5, “The Hunger Games”. I felt very much privileged to be there, to tell you honestly when I started to read this book, I became an instant fan. I’m fond of reading books but I always have this habit of ‘katamaran’ not to finish the whole book. While I was reading The Hunger Games, every page brings me excitement and eagerness.
Back to the movie experience, I’d like to share some of my views towards the movie. If you were able to read the book.. you’ll feel a bit disappointed, of course there are scenes on the book that has not been aired in the movie. Some sort of changes like the character of Madge is missing; she supposed to give her mockingjay pin to Katniss. But in the movie, it was given a different approach, Katniss got the pin from the Hob.
The first scenes focused more on Gale (Liam Hemsworth) and Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence). They really look good together (I swear). I bet Miley Cyrus will get jealous and threaten after watching the film. I just love how Katniss and Gale portrayed the role. J Good match!
I almost wept on the Reaping part. You can see how great affection of Katniss on her sister Primrose. She even volunteered to take the part of her helpless sister being a Tribute. Also the kindness shown by Katniss to Rue until Rue’s death. I was moved by that scene.
District 12 needs to have a male tribute.. here comes Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson). Awww! For me, I like Peeta over Gale, well both of them are really good looking. I just love how PURE the character of Peeta was in the movie. A courageous man indeed! Not afraid to show his love towards Katniss. I hate the part where Katniss assaulted Peeta after the interview just because he admitted his admiration on her. ( I was like Damn you Katniss!)
The chariot scene is also a MUST SEE scene. Just one of the highlights of the movie I think. Katniss called a Flame Dragon called ‘Cinna’ HAHA (kidding aside). I got chills when katniss and Peeta held their hands together. HOT AND SIZZLING COUPLE! The star crossed lovers from District 12.

Other than safe and sound, I think Adele’s songs suit the movie.
Rolling in the deep – it’s when Katniss fell in the woods.
I set fire to the rain – opposing the song ‘Rain’ by Bruno Mars. You know? I set Katniss’fire to the Twilight’s rain XD
CAVE SCENE FTW!
I’m really looking forward to this scene. it’s where katniss and Peeta shared their sweetheart moments. I can’t explain the feeling when they kissed then Gale face flashes on the screen. Poor Gale L that’s okay you’ll have your turn on the next movie.
During the movie premiere, the crowd is almost out of control. I’m out of adjectives here guys, you should see it for YOURSELF. I’m not going to drag some issues here which one (book/movie ) is better because it’s totally different. Above all, I enjoyed it and I’m satisfied enough. In my humble opinion, it’s one of the greatest adaptation ever!
